With a lock on the horizon, we will all soon be working from home in the next few weeks. I’ve been in the last week and me wrote everything about how I still dress trying to keep as routine as possible and feel better.
However, there are a few days when it seems more desirable to stay in your PJs all day, and that’s absolutely fine. It’s just that I also have many wonderful recommendations for nightwear.
As we’re slowly coming out of the winter season, oversized silk pajamas are the perfect transseasonal outfit when there’s no such thing when you’re inside all the time, but you got the idea. The cult brand Sleeper has feather and lace styles that are so popular that they are regularly replenished.
They know that if Alexa Chung gets involved, it is worth investing in this trend. At the end of last year, the style icon launched a collection of seven individual pajama sets with their typical flair for typical British style. Chung was not only meant to be worn before bed, but also presented the collection as a multitasking wardrobe that can be worn from day to day.
Another proof that the street style set is getting better and better London Fashion Week. Style advice: This season, opt for a silk or linen nightgown that lies over a thin turtleneck. Wear boxy linen shorts, a frilly shirt, and fluffy socks at home because you don’t want to get cold, do you?
If you’re lucky enough to go on vacation when it’s all over, the simple linen dress you wear over a bikini or swimsuit is an important part for editors and influencers on vacation. Look for timeless pastel separates at Faithful the Brand.
Do you feel decadent? You can find designer nightwear in our favorites Desmond & Dempsey, Three graces, Provocateur, Olivia Von Halle and La Perla, where you can find everything from luxurious silk slides with lace trimmings to short linen suits.
Don’t worry if you are on a tight budget. The main street also has a lot to offer. Topshop, Intimissimi and Next offer a wide range of affordable nightwear, from minimal nightgowns to printed items.
While last season was all about matching separates, this time try to mess things up a bit. When you go for a walk (of course, according to the rules of social distancing), combine a shirt with shorts, a statement earring and a flip-flop or wear a slip skirt with papasandals and a crop top. Or just stay at home and look fabulous. I also added some robes that you can combine with other printed night shirts or pajama sets.
In both cases, there is a nightwear style that is suitable for everyone. So scroll down to buy my selection of the best summer pajamas, nighties, shorts and shirt sets.
